Oral Surgery

Oral surgery refers to any surgical procedure performed in or around the mouth and jaw, which can be done by any Dental Healthcare Provider (DHCP) such as general dentist, periodontist, endodontist, prosthodontist or pediatric dentist, after receiving the appropriate education and training.

If more complicated procedures are necessary, these are best performed by a dental specialist who has had advanced residency training and clinical experience (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon).

Annual Events

Application Fees and Annual Dues

  1. Application fee for membership is $99.
  2. Annual maintenance dues for DHCP’s and Specialists are $295 for DHCP and Specialists
  3. Annual maintenance dues for full-time faculty are $245
  4. Annual maintenance dues for Residents, dental students, and staff members are $99.
  5. Members will verify maintenance of 30 hours of approved Continuing Education in the topics required for membership each, year. Practice staff, residents, and dental student members are exempt from this requirement.
